    The 2018-19 proposed budget has PASSED by a vote of 908-532.

    The District would like to thank all the voters who cast ballots and the community as a whole for supporting the budget.

     

    CANDIDATES FOR THE BOARD OF EDUCATION:

    • Mark Kowalski: 1,178 votes (elected)
    • Leonard Kowalski: 1,122 votes (elected)
    • Mohamed Munassar: 1,092 votes (elected)
    • Raymond Braxton: 737 votes
    • Glenn Matthews: 514 votes
    • George Halsey: 481 votes

  • 2018 Budget Vote and Election Overview

     
    The Lackawanna City School District Budget Vote will take place on Tuesday, May 15, 2018 from noon to 9 p.m. Polling site information is below.
     
    A Public Hearing on the proposed 2018-19 budget will take place in the Martin Road Elementary School cafeteria, 135 Martin Road, on Tuesday, May 8, 2018 at 6 p.m.
     
    During the budget vote, Lackawanna residents will also vote upon three open Board of Education seats. Candidates will be running for three-year terms. If you are interested in running for a Board of Education seat, please visit the Three Open Board Seats page.
