    All Faculty and Staff of the Lackawanna City School District will implement and continually refine a well-defined standards-based curriculum which is culturally responsive to the needs of all students in order to develop their academic knowledge and skills, educational and career pursuits, lifelong learning and social responsibility.

  • BUDGET VOTE & ELECTION RESULTS

    The 2018-19 proposed budget has PASSED by a vote of 908-532. The District would like to thank all the voters who cast ballots and the community as a whole for supporting the budget.

    Board of Education candidates:

    • Mark Kowalski: 1,178 votes (elected)
    • Leonard Kowalski: 1,122 votes (elected)
    • Mohamed Munassar: 1,092 votes (elected)
    • Raymond Braxton: 737 votes
    • Glenn Matthews: 514 votes
    • George Halsey: 481 votes

  • SUPERINTENDENT BIDS FAREWELL

  • NEW PHYSICAL GUIDELINES

    Starting in the 2018-19 school year, physicals will be required for students in pre-kindergarten / kindergarten and grades 1, 3, 5, 7, 9 and 11. This is in addition to any new students entering the district.

    Please note these grades are different from previous years! It is not too early to call your doctor and schedule an appointment.

    As a result of a vendor change in phone services, the district has moved forward with a new main phone number for incoming calls. The new number is (716) 821-5610.

  • UNIVERSAL PRE-KINDERGARTEN (UPK) REGISTRATION

  • FLUCTUATING BUILDING TEMPS

    Upgrades to the existing building control system may result in fluctuating building tempteratures. The District advises parents to send their students to school with sweaters or long-sleeved shirts. Learn more by viewing a letter from the superintendent.
