Channel 4 reporter Gabrielle Mediak stopped by Lackawanna Middle School to feature the Harbor Closet and Inner Harbor Room for a segment: What's New At School.
The Inner Harbor Room provides an atmosphere where students can feel safe, build positive relationships with students and staff, read a book, play games after lunch, study with a friend, participate in small or large group activities/lessons, or reach out to support staff in a time of need.
Students can also shop at the Harbor Closet -- FREE of charge. Students can pick from clothes, hats, coats, shoes, books, even toiletries such as soap, shampoo, toothpaste, deodorant and hair accessories -- all free of charge, thanks to brand-new donated items and the Goodness Project.
A special shout out to all the staff and student volunteers, Principal Mrs. Maslakowski, Cornell Cooperative Extension, and Creating Healthy School and Communities Coordinator Jennifer O'Connor.
