MISSION STATEMENT
Lackawanna City School District fosters the belief that the athletic program is integral to the educational and social life of our middle and high school students, having benefits for participants and non-participants. The mission of athletics is to provide ample opportunities for students to apply and improve their athletic skill through competition. The welfare and development of the student athlete is foremost in ensuring the educational value of the program.
VISION STATEMENT
The Vision of LCSD Athletics is to pursue excellence in all aspects of life through participation in a high quality athletic program. We are committed to the fundamental ideals of respect, responsibility and integrity. It is a program in which the development of the whole person is realized through athletic participation and competition, where life-long learning occurs as a result. The LCSD Athletic program is a vehicle by which our students can achieve academic excellence and become positive contributors to society.
