The District-Wide School Safety Plan was developed pursuant to the Commissioner of Education’s Regulation 155.17. At the direction of the Lackawanna City School District Board of Education, the Superintendent of Schools appointed a District-Wide School Safety Team and charged it with the development and maintenance of the District-Wide School Safety Plan. This document is updated on an annual basis.

In addition to the District-Wide School Safety Plan, the Public Employer Health Emergency Plan has been developed in accordance with New York State legislation S8617B/A10832. This law requires public employers to adopt a plan for operations in the event of a declared public health emergency involving a communicable disease.
