This program is a win-win for our community; it honors our local veterans and drives commerce to area businesses.  We are proud that Western New York has stepped up to make this program the success it has become.
Together we are able to say THANK YOU to our veterans in a meaningful way.

The “Thank A Vet” card is a complimentary photo I.D. certified by the Erie County Clerk that a veteran has produced their original discharge paper and has been honorably discharged.  The card is available to any veteran who is an Erie County resident and honorably discharged from any branch of service of the United States Armed Forces.

Since its inception in 2007, WNY Heroes, Inc. has grown exponentially, becoming a critical lifesustaining vehicle for veterans and their families by providing immediate financial assistance to those in need. Now, more than ever, the need is constant and growing in alarming fashion with so many veterans returning home. We are certain that the recent news of delays in getting services through the VA, that these brave and heroic men & women face upon their return, will further impact the need for program services within our organization. Below are the programs WNY Heroes, Inc. provides. Last known statistics 172,000 veterans reside in the 8 counties of WNY.

WHO IS A WARRIOR?

Veterans and service members who incurred a physical or mental injury, illness, or wound while serving in the military on or after September 11, 2001.

You are our focus.

You are our mission.

Here, you’re not a member – you’re an alumnus, a valued part of a community that’s been where you’ve been, and understands what you need.

Everything we offer is free because there’s no dollar value to finding recovery and no limit to what you can achieve.
