The month of October ushers in cooler temperatures, the changing color of leaves and the Buffalo Bills Play 60 Challenge at Martin Road Elementary School!  Our 2nd through 5th grade students are participating in this month-long challenge that focuses on educating and motivating students to move before, during and after the school day for 60 minutes every day from October 2 through October 29.  Students track their daily activity in their Student Notebook Tracking Calendar, allowing the students to track every day that they play for 60 minutes. For each day that the students are physically active for 60 minutes, they should mark that day in their notebook with a checkmark or X.  Each Friday, participating students will receive a new Buffalo Bills Player Card for their weekly participation.  Classrooms with high participation rates have the opportunity to be eligible for prizes through the Buffalo Bills, the Independent Health Foundation and the Buffalo Niagara American Heart Association.  Martin Road Elementary has participated in the Buffalo Bills Play 60 Challenge now for 10 years!
