Teacher works with students in the classroom.

Fifth grader students in Mrs. Griner and Mrs. Pulka's class are thriving in small group ELA instruction, where they receive targeted support in key literacy skills such as reading comprehension, vocabulary development and written responses. These small, focused groups allow teachers to meet students where they are and guide them toward growth.

During rotations, students engage in two teacher-led centers that focus on identifying theme in literature and building communication and speaking skills. Meanwhile, independent stations reinforce reading, writing and critical thinking in creative and engaging ways.

It’s a dynamic learning environment that builds comprehension, collaboration and a love for literature!
