Lackawanna City School District proudly celebrates its 2025 Athletic Wall of Fame inductees, a group of outstanding alumni and one exceptional team whose achievements continue to inspire Steeler Nation!
Individual Inductees:
Anthone Wright (Class of 1984) – Football, Quarterback & Captain; U.S. Naval Academy & U.S. Marine Corps.
Angel Clark (Class of 2006) – Basketball standout, 1,000-Point Club, and 2006 LA Female Athlete of the Year.
Abdulhamid Albaneh (Class of 2017) – Soccer Captain and Basketball player.
Bob Palka (Class of 1981) – Volleyball Captain/MVP; Penn State Captain, NCAA All-American, and Empire State Games Gold Medalist; LA Basketball.
Jeff Palczewski (Class of 1980) – 1980 LA Male Athlete of the Year; Volleyball, Swimming (Record Holder), and Baseball; ECIC All-Star, All-WNY Selection, and 3-time MVP.
Team Inductee:
1993 Varsity Football Team – 248 regular-season points, 99 postseason points, and 347 total points!
