Martin Road Elementary School was thrilled to welcome members of the Lackawanna Fire Department for an important lesson on fire prevention and safety. Our 3rd grade students had the opportunity to learn from Captain Balcarczyk, Firefighters Hassan, Kalenda, and Zybert, who shared their expertise in keeping our community safe.
The visit was both educational and interactive, as students were taught essential fire safety tips, such as how to recognize fire hazards, the importance of smoke alarms, and what to do in case of an emergency. Captain Balcarczyk and the firefighters used hands-on demonstrations and engaging discussions to ensure the children understood how to stay safe at home and school.
We would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to Captain Balcarczyk, Firefighters Hassan, Kalenda, and Zybert for taking the time to visit our students and equip them with life-saving knowledge.
This visit was an invaluable experience, and we appreciate the continued partnership between Martin Road Elementary and our local first responders. Thank you again for making our community safer and for helping to empower our students with the knowledge they need to protect themselves and others!
