We're two months into the school year, which means we're bringing back our much loved tradition of recognizing our amazing students throughout the school year!
LHS's student of the month is 9th grade student, Karjah. Karjah is very active in the school participating in student council, a variety of sports and is looking to join National Honors Society in the future.
"My favorite class is probably Spanish. I really enjoy learning languages. It's something different and interesting."
In addition to Spanish, she also enjoys science and wants to study Marine Biology. Following high school, she is looking to pursue the field at University of California, University of Miami or University of Buffalo.
Karjah attributed her key to success in the classroom is not involving herself in drama and persevering, even when someone tries to get under your skin.
