Ms. Rozwood’s third graders have been diving into the wonderful world of words as they explore poetry in their Wonders Reading curriculum. This week, students studied alliteration, those catchy, repeating beginning sounds that make writing pop, play and perform!
After dissecting poems packed with bold and brilliant alliterations, students teamed up to analyze how these sound patterns strengthened each poem’s meaning and voice. Inspired by their discoveries, classmates then collaborated to create their own silly, sensational, super-creative alliteration sentences.
Their curiosity, creativity and collaboration truly shined. We are so proud of these growing poets as they continue to celebrate the power of playful poetry!
