Paul Lyons Staff Spotlight

Recognizing our staff highlight of the week, our Principal of Extended Learning and Community Engagement Paul Lyons.

Congratulations! Read Paul's bio below.

"I earned my Master’s degree in Educational Administration from Canisius College and a Master’s in Educational Computing from SUNY Buffalo State, where I also completed my Bachelor’s degree in Business Studies with a minor in Management Economics.

In February, I will begin my eighth year serving the Lackawanna City School District, working closely with students and families at both Martin Road Elementary School and the high school. I am proud to serve as the Principal of Extended Learning and Community Engagement, where my focus is creating engaging, meaningful, and accessible after-school learning opportunities that support our students’ academic growth, creativity, and personal development.

Prior to joining Lackawanna, I had the opportunity to serve in several administrative roles in other districts, including Technology Coordinator, Assistant Principal, Principal, and Athletic Director. I also spent many years coaching football, basketball, and baseball, which helped me build strong relationships with students and deepen my commitment to supporting them both in and out of the classroom.

I am grateful to be part of the Lackawanna community and look forward to continuing to work alongside our students, families, and staff to create positive and enriching learning experiences."
