Our Truman Kindergarten students are working on Activity Math in Mrs. Kasinski and Peters class. Activity math is something students can touch, move and explore, and that makes all the difference. The students get up and get moving through a Math & Movement game called Make a 7.
This game allows students the opportunity to stretch their math muscles, called subitizing dice (to see a pattern and know how many without counting) and then counting on to see how many more to make a total of 7.
This fun interactive game helps students to practice addition and subtraction, and encourages collaboration and conversation. Students explain their thinking, ask questions and learn from one another, and they had a lot of fun doing it!
