"I am in my 8th year teaching Special Education and my first year at Truman Elementary! I am the teacher in a K-1 self-contained 8:1:1 classroom. I grew up in Lackawanna and went to Washington, Franklin, Truman, and Martin Road. I went to Buffalo State for both my undergrad and my masters, where my love of teaching really bloomed and gave me a further understanding of why teachers are needed.
It is our job to give our students the love, education, and opportunity they deserve. I have always had a soft spot for kiddos with exceptional needs and am fortunate to be able to help the community I grew up in. Every day is an opportunity to learn, grow, and teach. I love coming to a job that helps my students become the best versions of themselves."
