Lackawanna City School District Superintendent Nadia A. Nashir was recently honored with the Excellence in Education Award by the University at Buffalo’s Department of Educational Leadership and Policy.
The award recognizes her commitment to educational leadership and her continued efforts to promote equity and opportunity for all students. During the event, she was also recognized as an “equity warrior,” a reflection of her dedication to creating meaningful change in education.
Superintendent Nashir, a graduate of the University at Buffalo’s Educational Administration program, credits the experience as an important part of her leadership journey.
