Lackawanna Middle School families are reminded that final exams will take place from Wednesday, June 17 through Thursday, June 25, 2026. Final exams give students an opportunity to demonstrate the knowledge and skills they have developed throughout the school year while helping prepare them for the academic expectations of high school. Exams will account for 10% of a student’s overall grade, with grades posted on eSchool in the “Final Exam” section.
Students are expected to arrive at school ready for their exam by 7:20 a.m. Exams will take place in the morning, with the exception of the Earth Science Regents Exam. Students are encouraged to do their best, take their time, eat a good breakfast and bring a water bottle.
Students in all grades will be testing during periods 1-4 on the scheduled exam days. After exams are completed, students will follow their assigned schedule and will be dismissed at the regular time of 2:04 p.m.

Wednesday, June 17
Math, including Algebra Regents
Thursday, June 18
Science, with the Earth Science Regents Exam taking place in the afternoon
Friday, June 19
No School — Juneteenth
Monday, June 22
ELA
Tuesday, June 23
Social Studies
Any other exams not listed on this schedule will take place the week prior during your child’s normal scheduled school day.
