Summer Health and Safety flyer

As summer approaches, the Lackawanna City School District encourages families to review important health and safety reminders from the Erie County Department of Health.

The department’s Summer Health and Safety for Kids resource includes helpful tips for outdoor play, meals and sleep routines, mental health, screen time, swimming and water safety, sun protection, hydration, tick and mosquito prevention, emergency preparedness and more.

Families are reminded to help students stay active, hydrated, connected and safe throughout the summer months. The resource also includes information on free summer meals for children under 18, local parks, library programs, mental health resources and safety reminders for pools, beaches and outdoor activities.
