sun in red sky

As temperatures rise, some of our school buildings can become warm during the day. We are committed to keeping students comfortable and safe and taking necessary action when needed.

We do appreciate your help in sending your child to school prepared:

  • Encourage your child to wear lightweight, loose-fitting clothing in light colors to help keep them cool.

  • Consider short sleeves and breathable fabrics when possible.

  • Staying hydrated is key. Please make sure your child brings a water bottle they can refill throughout the day. Drinking fluids regularly helps prevent overheating.

  • Remind your child to take it easy during active times and to let an adult know if they feel too hot, dizzy or uncomfortable.

What We’re Doing at School

Our staff will continue to:

  • Monitor the temperature in the classrooms throughout the day, taking action when needed

  • Use fans and airflow strategies to improve comfort

  • Provide regular opportunities for water breaks

  • Monitor students for signs of overheating and adjust activities as needed

Thank you for partnering with us to help ensure every student has a safe and comfortable learning environment during warmer weather.
