On Saturday, June 4th, Kaylee McLaughlin and Nariyah Jones participated in the NYSSMA Solo Festival.
NYSSMA is a Solo festival for students in NYS. Students prepare a solo according to their ability level (Level 1-6) and perform their solo and a sight singing component for an adjudicator.
At this time their performance is evaluated and they receive positive and constructive feedback for their musical growth and development.
Both Girls Performed a Level 4 Solo.
Nariyah performed Swing Low Sweet Chariot and received an Excellent Rating of 24/28
Kaylee performed How Lovely to Be A Woman (from the Musical Bye Bye Birdie) and received an Excellent Rating of 24/28.
