Dear Family & Community of Lackawanna City Schools:

Due to the high temperatures expected in Western New York early next week, all LCSD students in grades Pre-K through 8 will follow a half-day schedule on Monday, June 23, and Tuesday, June 24. This adjustment is being made with student and staff safety in mind, as many of our buildings are not fully air-conditioned.

Students in grades 9–12 will follow their regular schedule. If your child is scheduled to take a Regents exam, they must report to school to take the exam as planned. Busses will be available.

Please note that all Moving Up Days and other end-of-year celebrations will continue as scheduled.

Staff will report for the full day (M - F).
