Martin Road Elementary School recently hosted its annual Spring Walk-a-thon, bringing together students, staff and families for a day of fun, fitness and community spirit. This cherished event is a cornerstone of the school’s commitment to promoting healthy habits and supporting its health and wellness initiatives.

Every student at Martin Road Elementary participated in the walk-a-thon by completing three laps around the school building. The event not only encouraged physical activity but also fostered a sense of unity and accomplishment among students of all grade levels.

The walk-a-thon is more than just a walk—it’s a celebration of the school’s dedication to wellness. By integrating physical activity into school traditions, Martin Road continues to emphasize the importance of a healthy lifestyle for its students.

A heartfelt thank you goes out to the Martin Road Elementary PE staff, Mr. Comunale, Mr. Finch, and Ms. Gonsiorek, for planning this yearly event. We would also like to thank the Parent-Teacher Association (PTA) for their generous support. Thanks to their efforts, students were able to stay refreshed with water and enjoy crisp apples after their walk. We also extend our gratitude to the many volunteers who helped make the event run smoothly and safely.
