Mrs. O’Connor and Mrs. Sprowal's second graders are diving into nonfiction with Baby Bears! Students are becoming text detectives, using text features to find important details and going back into the book to locate evidence for their answers. Their whole-group discussions were full of excitement as they explored how text features help readers uncover the central idea and key details. These readers are growing their nonfiction skills one “bear-y” fun book at a time!
