This week's Staff Spotlight is Martin Road Second Grade Teacher Rebecca Silagyi.

"I graduated from Daemen College with my bachelor's degree in childhood education dual certified in Special Education. Later to receive my master's degree (from Fredonia) in Literacy with an extension into Early Childhood Education and Early Childhood Special Education. I've been teaching second grade for ten years, five of which are with the Lackawanna City School District.
I've always wanted to be a teacher and was beyond excited when I started with Lackawanna. Everyday, I'm so grateful to be able to spend my time with these kids. They inspire me to always do and be better. At the end of each day, I hope that my students will always remember how much they matter, and how much I believe in them."
