The Lackawanna High School Art Club is representing Western New York in the national Crosley Custom Cruiser Contest, a creative competition where students design original artwork based on the theme “Band Together.”
To bring their vision to life, the students created a record-player design celebrating unity through music. The piece features iconic venues such as the Sydney Opera House, Graceland, and the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame—each symbolizing how music connects people and cultures across the globe. The design also incorporates a cosmic theme, representing how music unites people universally.
The students dedicated more than a month to this project, spending time after school and collaborating closely to bring their ideas to life. Their entry highlights the power of teamwork, creativity, and shared passion for the arts.
Public voting for the Crosley Custom Cruiser Contest starts today at 12 p.m. through Friday, November 7, at www.crosleyradio.com/cruiser-contest.
Each person can vote once per day, and every “like” on related social media posts counts as a bonus vote toward the school’s final total.
The regional winners will be announced on November 12, with the overall grand prize winner revealed on November 17.
Community members are encouraged to show their support by voting daily and engaging with the Art Club’s posts on social media.
